  • End the FICA tax
A large percentage of your salary is taken by FICA, but the rich, who receive non-salaried compensation, don't pay it. And Social Security doesn't need it, because the government creates dollars at will. FICA widens the gap between the rich and the rest.

  • Migrant Workers
This petition is about Migrant Workers and their low pay. We have made this petition to help migrant workers get paid more adequate to what they do. Their jobs are grueling and time consuming. Their hours are much longer than what the average person works, with less than an 8th of what they get paid.

  • ESPN: No Layoffs!
After taking millions in tax payer money from the state to create jobs, ESPN is now planning layoffs. More than 100 employees, and maybe as many as 400, are slated to be let go from their Bristol, CT headquarters. This is unacceptable. ESPN took our money to create jobs, they cannot turnaround and fire employees instead. Tell ESPN not to let any of its workers go!

  • OSHA: Require MSDS's to identify GMO's in the worplace.
The existence of GMO foods is nearly universal in the workplace. Each and every individual strain of any gmo crop is an unknown potential toxin for which no long term studies have been conducted. Workers are not merely exposed, but actually consume, in massively greater than parts per million quantities, these unnatural compounds, whose safety is compellingly suspect by an ever growing body of concerned scientists. As a potential toxin, the Right to Know Act should apply to gmo's in the workplace and not enjoy any exemptions that might apply to natural foods from the actual Earth biology. Regardless, concerned workers have the right to know under the Act and food manufacturers must supply the requested MSDS's upon request.

  • Don't let Apple dodge billions of dollars in taxes!
Apple is the country's most profitable technology company--yet it's hiding billions of dollars in offshore companies to avoid paying taxes. We've seen tax dodging before, but as one economist described it, Apple's complex scheme shows "unbelievable chutzpah." Apple wasn't satisfied with putting money in offshore tax havens with low rates--it created foreign subsidiaries that have no employees and are exempt from paying any taxes anywhere in the world. Between 2009 and 2012, one of Apple's foreign subsidiaries, which has not filed any tax return, had an income of $30 billion. Everyday people pay our taxes to fund things like good schools and safe communities--huge companies like Apple need to pay their fair share too. Sign our petition today.

  • Apple Computer, Pay your fair share of taxes
Having been a die-hard proud Apple user and fan since 1984, I am TERRIBLY disappointed in the news that Apple has avoided sharing its profits with the American people. I urge Apple to rectify this and make an example to other tax evading corporations
