• Berkeley: Stop Gentrification! 2902 Adeline Project Community Benefits Now!
Developers are proposing new market rate apartments at 2902 Adeline, threatening to increase neighborhood rents, exacerbate parking and traffic problems, and continue the ongoing process of gentrification and displacement in the Bay Area. If our neighborhood is to be developed, the community demands that these negative impacts be mitigated. Through a community-led process involving over 300 people, local residents developed these six demands and sent them to the developers on August 12, 2016. We requested but did not receive a response from the developers within 30 days.

He is best remembered for balancing the federal budget, negotiating the Oslo Accords, and playing saxophone on Arsenio wearing sunglasses. With 100,000 signatures he will have no choice but to obey the will of the people and play "Baker Street" at his wife's inauguration ball next January.

  • Blizzard: Honor Your Original Agreement
Blizzard has recently enabled players in World of Warcraft to more easily file a complaint about guild names that they supposedly find offensive. Because of our server choice (Proudmoore), our long history and relative infamy as the largest LGBT gaming group, we've historically been targeted as having an offensive guild name, often by the same person or persons. This is confusing, since Blizzard uses the word 'taint' in lore, quest titles and more. Years ago, a Blizzard executive recognized this social dynamic and allowed RTGC/Taint to maintain the name we are globally recognized, both in WoW and in other games. We've recently been the subject, with the easier reporting tools, of increased "report and rename" attacks, and Blizzard GMs, unable or unwilling to abide by the earlier ruling, rescinded and is currently forcing a rename across ALL the guilds under the related TAINT banner. Blizzard, please return to and honor the original agreement that protected us. Thank you.

  • Save Montreal's Pitbulls.
Save the pitbulls. Punish the breeder not the breed. This decision solves nothing. My family dog was a rescued pitbull. Pitbulls, like any other animal need a loving home. We need to change the stereotyping of these beautiful animals. Euthanization is NOT the solution. Education is the answer.

  • Save The Backpacks
It's a disgrace that we can't have backpacks at a school where we have so much to carry, chargers and all. Having a backpack is just common sense, especially since the school board doesn't even have enough lockers for each student.

  • Abraham Lincoln's image
Of the over 120 portraits of Lincoln owed by the Smithsonian, it offends me that the newspaper picture calling him a white ni**er is the one the world and all visitors see.

  • Hawai'i: Mandate Prop Guards
Swimmers were killed by boat propellers in Lanikai (2016); Lana'i (2011); and Maui just to name a few recent deaths by props. Additionally a Kaua'i paddler was so badly injured we thought he would die and on Sept 17th a paddler was critically injured again. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. #propguards

  • Family Protection Act
All children need and deserve two loving parents in their lives, even if the parents are no longer living together. The starting point of a child custody proceeding should be equal protection for each parental relationship. The Family Protection Act will create a presumption at the beginning of an action that equal time with each parent is in the children's best interest. Cooperative parents can make their own agreements, and the presumption can be overcome if there is evidence that equal time is not best for the children, but equality is where we should start.

  • We must demand that Trump release his taxes!
One way or the other, Trump MUST release his tax returns before the November election--so the American people can see what shows up that might impact his decisions if he is elected President. Although Obama has the authority to release Trump's tax returns, It is unlikely that he will do so. Our only hope is to raise a hue and cry and CALL OUR SENATORS NOW to demand that they pass S.2979, the Presidential Tax Transparency Act, to force Trump to release them.
