Filibuster ReformRepublicans are using the threat of filibuster to delay and prevent nominations to key posts in the Judiciary, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Labor Relations Board and more. These vacancies allow the minority party to prevent the will of the majority from being implemented.20 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Larry Wurzel

Let's Get Healthy CaliforniaSacramento cut $1 billion from our state's healthcare system and the much-needed Medi-Cal program. Without this funding, millions of Californians will lose access to quality healthcare, and tens of thousands of healthcare workers (like me) could lose their jobs. These cuts will go into effect -- unless we act now!2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by James Dade, Jr.

NC's new “brand” – the State of Madness?Gov. Pat McCrory says he wants to rebrand North Carolina. And he’s getting lots of help from hard-line conservatives in the NC General Assembly. We are in danger of becoming known across the nation as the “State of Madness.” There are bills to let cities declare an official religion, allow loaded guns in bars and schools, gut environmental protections, put legislators in charge of women’s health, increase UNC tuition but give vouchers for private academies. . . Already this year, we have new laws that slash unemployment benefits, deny Medicaid coverage for 500,000 poor families, and give a new tax cut for 23 super-millionaires while ending the state’s Earned Income Tax Credit for 900,000 NC families! Here’s the kicker: To make it harder for people to vote and hold officials accountable, there are also bills to cut the Early Voting period in half, ban most weekend voting, tax parents whose kids vote from their college address, require a government photo to vote, end Same-Day Registration during Early Voting, and more. This is madness! Tell Gov. McCrory you’re watching him – tell him to oppose voting restrictions and outrageous legislation. Tell Rep. Steve King: Stop promoting hateful viewpoints as fact todayLast week, the Heritage Foundation released a controversial immigration report, widely discredited after it was discovered that one of its authors believes that “no one knows whether Hispanics will ever reach IQ parity with whites.” Now Republican Rep. Steve King is embracing the ugly report and is using it to oppose immigration reform. King hosted a recent press conference and cited the shoddy Heritage figures as fact, saying that "at no stage in their lives" do undocumented immigrants "make a net financial contribution to this country." This was no slip of the tongue -- he upped the ante by endorsing the Heritage report as "legitimate" in an op-ed the very next day. Some leading Republicans have already spoken out against the Heritage report, including Marco Rubio and Rep. King's colleague in the House, Paul Ryan. We need Rep. King and all members of the House to stop promoting this report so offensive to Latinos. When you sign this petition, we'll make sure that John Boehner, the leading Republican in the House, sees your message as well. Demand that Rep. Steve King stop promoting hateful viewpoints as fact today.1,535 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Matt Sinovic

Mayor Pavia: Help save a lifeBy adding a more prominent and noticeable pedestrian walk sign at the intersection of Cove Road and Euclid Street. Current signage is in dull yellow and red writing. A brighter neon yellow/green sign as seen elsewhere in the city will make it more visible to drivers. I also propose putting a sign in the middle of the crosswalk for those who do not look to the sides of the road and simply always staring straight. We have a problem. Drivers do not stop at the crosswalk where the current sign is placed. It is also hidden by large vehicles parked along the road prior to the crosswalk. When coming up from the beach, you do not notice the sign until the very last minute at the top. At times, vehicles are traveling up the hill at over 50-75 mph as well as heading down to the beach at the same rate. I've witnessed a mother with a baby stroller almost lose their lives in the crosswalk. I walk my dog down to the beach each day and no day is better than another. It's a major issue and I believe a change is due. Why continue to put our citizens lives at risk? Let's get that sign changed before it's too late! I propose that or even a stop sign might work! People should not have to walk in fear of a specific intersection, let us make it a safe traveling point. Sign this petition and save a life today! Thank you all for your signatures and God bless.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Louis Procaccini

Restore Philadelphia School BudgetHow would you like it if there was no art, music, counselors, after school programs, sports, classroom aides, librarians, school psychologists, school secretaries, and nurses? Well that will happen if we don't take a stand against the School District of Philadelphia. The school district's budget for the 2013-14 school year calls for huge cuts to school staff, activities, programs, and services. This petition will help restore the Philadelphia School Budget.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Joseph J. Greenberg Elementary

Allow People to Discharge Student Loans in BankruptcyI was out of work and diagnosed with cancer. My student loan interest piled up and up. My spouse has been out of work for more than 10 years. The interest just piles up and up. Now we can't even make a dent in the principal or the interest. The so-called "pay as you earn" programs don't work because we are told we don't qualify for them. We can't get the lower interest rates Sen. Warren proposes because the loans are too old. We're trapped, and we're not alone.173 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Ana
