Move 2019 Tax Filing Deadline from April 15th to July 15thWhile the IRS will be able to process refunds most of the agency is shuttered by the shutdown. As taxpayers cannot cannot consult the IRS and the shutdown may go on indefinitely the tax filing deadline should be extended from 04/15 to 07/15. In addition, for those taxpayers who owe money payment should be similarly extended to 07/15. Perhaps this will place some pressure on the White House and Congress to come to their senses.149 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Howard Bitterman

Boycott Bristol West ,The Farmer Group, and Copart. This is the first of two protests and boycotts against Bristol West and The Farmers Group. The second one will entail the racist practices and racist connotations against African-Americans. I will have help from N.A.A.C.P. National Chapter, Rev. Al Sharpton, and The Urban League. As an African-American Veteran who fought for this country and a Gold Star Family Member. Bristol West, The Farmers Group and Copart 14185 Dallas Parkway Suite 400 Dallas, TX 75254 are in cahoots to steal my car, low-ball me, and delayed payment of car. They have my car, I signed the title over to them, and they have not paid my car loan. I was in the car business for ten years; I have witnessed Copart gangster ways. They are treating me like the lowest scum on this earth. I don’t expect them to act honorably with my claim since they have stubbornly refused to pay off my car as of January 14, 2019. I had the accident on November 4, 2018. This insurance company is complicit with The Farmers Group to swindle, deceive, and dupe consumers under the guise of racist discrimination and not paying litigable claims. These companies have ruined my credit. They are making me jump through hoops to pay my medical claim. My medical claim is a little over $5,000.00. Do you really think I am that ill-advised to play with an insurance company that is trying their best to ruin my existence? On this claim, they have not paid off my car, and they are sending the check by snail mail. I had to literally beg for additional car rental. The bank has sent me to the collection department. Bristol West and The Farmer Group don’t care. They keep giving me the runaround hoping I will simply forget about the claim. This episode with my adjusters isn’t isolated. Just ask them to consider revealing their consumer complaints filed against them and the supervisors have given the adjusters cover. They are operating like a Mafia. I was called by this terminology, “You people.” This phrase has long been used as an interpersonal generalization. It has become known as a racial epithet embattled to African-American communities only. The unlikeliest documentation of this connotation I can verify happened in 1992 when presidential candidate Ross Perot was rebuked for telling an NAACP audience about financial hardships befalling them by "you people." At this cultural moment in the U.S., we still live in a racialized social and cultural hierarchy, and our dialectal approach continues to replicate our ongoing endeavors to struggle with the realism that was perpetrated by these adjusters and previous slave owners. I hope they try to deny it and don’t own up to this racist statement; this is a violation of public trust and this fraudulent delay with my claim. I may get in trouble for recording the conversation between us. At this point, I don’t care. Secondly, they are trying to base the decision on lack of documentation. They are looking for reasons to deny the claim. Bristol West is notorious for doing this, especially since the Insurance Commissioner has rebuked them. It is only appropriate to tie Bristol West adjusters to the hip with The Farmer Group. The supervisors are standing behind this wretched, reckless behavior, and they are obstinately refusing to move forward with my medical claim and the auto payoff to my bank. They are dragging me for no earthly reasons. Now, I have to run from city to city to gather additional medical records. The only concern they have is to save their brand. They had no intention of paying the claim. I have researched numerous complaints by consumers who were distressed and persecuted by Bristol West and The Farmer Group. I will personally go to the end of the earth to see this company answer for the damages they caused to me. I pray and hope for justice for anyone who is a victim of bad faith business practices with this company, and these illegal actions by Bristol West. They are treating me like a criminal for filing a legit auto claim. In the most stressful moments, such as after an accident with an injury, these vultures are not here to help consumers, they are looking for every reason to deny my claim. They have wrecked my credit file. I only put down $1,000 when I bought this car. Since I am a credit risk now, they are requiring me to put between $4,000-$5,000 as the down payment. I am prepared to put my all on the line for this cause. I am prepared to go the last mile of the way. I will not kick the can down the down. Let us expose Liberty Mutual as an organization that targeted African-American in the Bible Belt of this country. This claim should have been settled months ago. I thought Jim Crow was dead, and in 2019 we are dealing with his nephew, James Crow, Esquire, and his nephew Jill Crow, Esquire.24 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Rev. Ron

Trump repeatedly violates Twitters abuse/harrassment rulesTwitter has consistently followed a set of rules that they set forth when it comes to profiles violating these set rules and yet refuses to do so when it comes to Donald Trump. Trump has repeatedly violated these rules where he continually harasses protected groups, incites violence against certain media groups, continually attacks, bullies, uses racial profiling to incite fear and uses racially charged language. Twitter needs to adhere to the rules that they themselves set forth and have effectively followed through on enforcing these rules by suspending individuals and going so far as banning said individuals. Twitter will not do so when it comes to Trump. I believe given Trump's title as president, he should be held to a higher standard by Twitter and should especially enforce said rules and ban Trump's personal Twitter account.13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lisa Champagne

Help Single Working People In America To Lower Their TaxesMy petition is about helping single working Americans by not having us to pay so much in taxes. We get hit the hardest because we have no dependents. America gave us the Right to have a choice to rather have children or not. Stop punishing us for choosing our Right to be single and working.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Michelle Banks

We stand with Dr. Angela DavisDr. Angela Davis' record speaks for itself. She is a renown leader of the civil rights movement, including being part of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). This is why it should've come as no surprise that Dr. Davis was chosen to be honored for a human rights award by the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute (BCRI) in October. But earlier this month, BCRI decided to revoke its award from Dr. Davis by releasing a statement that read, "Upon closer examination of Ms. Davis’ statements and public record, we concluded that she unfortunately does not meet all of the criteria on which the award is based." [1] Although BCRI never stated which "criteria" Dr. Davis did not meet for the award, the move came after the Southern Jewish Life magazine spoke critically about BCRI awarding Dr. Davis and her support for Palestinian human rights. As Dr. Davis prepares to attend an alternative event in February, it's important to stand in solidarity and show support for her as a leader, a visionary, and a human rights advocate. Source: 1. Approval of the installation of poured rubberized surface for DMS & WVSS playgroundsThe Stonington community strongly requests that the Building Committee move forward with its approval of the planned installation of poured-in-place rubberized surfacing, as specified and recommended by the Playground Committee & Board of Education. Months after approval some Building Committee members continue to discuss the possibility of changing the poured-in-place safety surfacing, to a loose fill alternative, citing budget and safety/health concerns. The Playground Committee consisted of teacher representatives from each grade, Physical Education Instructors from both schools, the Director of Special Education, physical therapy professionals, Principals, and representatives from each PTO. The experience each member brought to the committee ensured a playground design that would meet all student ability, inclusion, and enjoyment needs. Loose fill materials pose health risks with mold & mildew, have yearly replacement cost, create accessibility challenges for mobility devices, and over time encapsulate the equipment, limiting its function. Loose fill breaks down, shifts, and compacts in high use areas, losing its cushioning and safety. Additionally, changing the ground cover at this time would require a redesign on playground equipment, further delaying the state approval, purchase, and installation. Poured-in-place rubberized surfacing is a long-term permanent installation that will save cost for the town over the life of the playground, eliminating yearly maintenance costs. The surfacing is safe, durable, easy to clean, and ADA compliant. Please join us in voicing your support of the Playground Committee’s recommendation for a poured-in-place permanent safety surface for our new playgrounds at Deans Mill and West Vine Street Schools. With your signature, you strongly request that the Building Committee install the playground as submitted, (with poured-in-place rubberized surface). -Katie Quinlan, DMS PTO President & Alissa Halle, WVWBSS PTO President232 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Katie Quinlan

Create a National Resource Center for Federal EmployeesPETITION BACKGROUND Because President Trump prefers building a wall rather than treating Federal Employees with compassion and respect. No longer receiving pay checks they are suffering serious financial hardship, even debt, with the concomitant social consequences that come with such suffering. Even if the shutdown comes to and end, this proposal may serve as a model for future ones and similar national emergencies.251 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Rabbi Philip Posner

Hold a Vote if No Confidence in the Senate Majority LeaderThe Senate is not using its Constitutional power to check and balance the Executive branch because of one submissive Senator who happens to be Majority Leader. This is exactly what our founding fathers feared. Now it’s hurting so many Americans as a result, and the Senate is pretending that it couldn’t do something about it.29 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Crispus Attucks
