Residents of Hometown Village of Marion & The Meadows sub-divisions are concerned that the current Mitch Harris plans for the construction and development of the Meadows West subdivision do not meet the coded buffer requirements and demonstrate little effort at preserving the natural wooded area, which serves a multitude of purposes (highway/residential noise buffering, privacy, animal habitats, property value, aesthetic purposes, etc.). Additionally, there is a shared concern for the impact of increased traffic flow and road use of another subdivision (that would share an entrance/road access with the existing Meadows subdivision directly across from the Woodbury subdivision) being added into an already busy and congested area of D-19. As a mostly rural community, we feel that there is no need for subdivisions to be stacked on top of each other and believe that these plans should be stopped or at the very least modified to preserve as much natural balance as possible and minimize congestion.

A rare neurological disease called Hereditary Spastic Parapalegia (HSP) forced me to retire from teaching early, so I needed to purchase private health insurance. Without ACA, the insurance companies wouldn't have sold me a policy at all, but even so, it is almost prohibitably expense, especially in Idaho (and New Mexico--the only two states that have not already expanded medicaid). The time for Idaho to finally expand medicaid is now.

Thousands of people use River Bend Golf Links and have since 1950. There is absolutely no reason for the FDOT to force the course to close June 15, 2018, until the actual road will be built, especially when the St. Johns Water Management District, who manages the property, is willing to let the course continue operations until the road is built.

In the wake of the Parkland massacre on February 14, it is clearly necessary that We the People of the United States of America mandate that our government take active steps to ensure our safety by improving the background check system used to determine who can purchase and possess firearms. This legislation has bipartisan support and has been introduced by Senators John Cornyn (R-TX), Tim Scott (R-SC), Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Dean Heller (R-NV), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), and Chris Murphy (D-CT). Furthermore, we must hold our government accountable and ensure the law is properly implemented. After the Virginia Tech shooting, Congress and the President passed legislation authorizing $1.3 Billion to be spent on improving this system but actually only spent a fraction of the authorized amount. FedEx, along with other corporations, has partnership agreements with the NRA to provide service discounts to its members. This acts as a sign-up incentive for new subscribers. The NRA currently has over 5 million members who currently pay $40 annually for that status. The NRA has lobbied lawmakers consistently and successfully against any meaningful restrictions on the sale of assault weapons. They have put gun industry profits above people and principle. The millions of dollars they funnel into the campaigns of lawmakers to protect their interests ensure that commonsense gun legislation remains elusive. It's time the NRA is put on notice that the time for change is here. They should not be given credibility through alliances with corporations such as FedEx.

Every life in America has been directly or indirectly impacted by gun violence and mass shootings. FedEx must stop funding the NRA and it's agenda to arm America. Not one more life.

I keep getting denied without a given reason and told to reapply. I get the appointment letter 3 days after the appointment. I was calling daily for 3 weeks to reschedule and finally got a call yesterday saying my case is closed. I will reapply again and go to the office daily if I must. I don't drive a Mercedes and pull out 2 iPhones like half the people getting benefits. I was taught if someone is hungry, you feed them and always have, and the state denies a U.S. citizen food when in a rough time after years of hard work and taxes I helped feed others but can't get help myself now.

This name reinforces racial stereotypes, division, and a spectrum of police/minority issues in this blue-collar community. Whitehall can become Woodhall or the Community of Woodhall, Ohio. Currently, Whitehall has many vibrant parks, a beautiful creek, and wildlife abound. Let's use a neutral name to change the game in this unstable Trump climate. Change things for the children, for family and neighbors. WE ARE GAY. WE ARE STRAIGHT. WE ARE OF NO RACE, BUT PEOPLE. WE ARE NOT RIGHT WING. WE ARE NOT HATE. WE ARE...NOT TRUMP. Woodhall is LOVE.
