The United States government needs to take action if we want to put the economy back on its feet.

The recent spike in power bills from American Electric Power and other distributors who work with AEP has many small businesses, schools, and non-profit organizations across Ohio wondering if they'll be able to stay in business. They came to a deal with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio that was not beneficial to anyone but large corporations in Ohio and AEP.Part of the cause of the doubling rates is due to American Elecbetric Power giving large corporations and manufacturers discounts, while smaller businesses, who do not consistently use a great amount of energy throughout the year, have to carry the expense.

Already bombarded with advertisement, pop-ups, pop-ins and spam around every corner, there's a new wave of ads targeted at mobile phone users. "Text Advertising" is a text message, often containing a link, promising free iPads, consumer discounts, or other trite deals you see on the sidelines of most every webpage. In the same vein as creating a No-Call list to prevent telemarketers from calling your home phone, we feel the use of texts for unsolicited advertisement should be considered an illegal business practice. Please join with me in raising this issue into public awareness and putting an end to this new form of mass advertising.

American Airlines declared bankruptcy recently and is now in the process of dropping retirees pensions, and benefits. This is legal under Chapter 11 bankruptcy laws, which were changed under President Bush's 8 years in Office. Those of us who have worked faithfully for 30 years will now face the loss of our income or have it reduced by the Government Pension Insurance fund. Since this is another rule that allows Big Business to disregard human rights and steal Pensions it should be out-lawed by Congress and signed into law by the President.

Wall Street rolls out many IPO every year with the help of 'underwriter'. IPO means 'Initial Public Offer' They are manipulating it for their own profit before it hits Secondary market (people should get their hands on it in Primary market).

The stock market is run on secrecy. The buyers and sellers identity is hidden from everyone except the insiders. Openness is better for the retail traders who are taken advantage of by the professionals. I propose that this identifying data be displayed in all completed orders. When a buyer or sellers order is bought by another market participant, the following data should be displayed for both the buyer and the seller; the sellers and buyers names, the stock broker's name, the brokerage company's name, the clearing firm name, the name of the cities where both orders originated, the trading platforms used, the time the orders were entered and completed. All of this information is already available in the computer record of the stock market clearing firms. Including this data in the display on my home computer would enhance my ability to see who is manipulating the stock maket. In my humble opinion displaying the buyer and seller names would take some of the secrecy out of the stock market.
